| Before any Feng Shui remedy can be put to use it is
necessary to clear the space for change to occur. Everything that fills a space
snags attention in some way. Keep only what you feel supported by and let go of
the rest. Depending on how dense the clutter is, it might be helpful to start
with a drawer or closet to prevent the task from becoming too daunting. |
|
Some places to start:
1. Fix or get rid of broken objects. Every time your attention lands on these it
is an unpleasant reminder that, over time, can weigh you down.
2. Beware of collections, keep the best, get rid of the rest.
3. Tie up loose ends. Don't let obligations (junk mail, bills, etc) pile up.
4. Empty garbage daily and notice where your recyclables are stored, are they
the first thing you see when you walk up to your front door?

The goal of space clearing is to create wide-open
freedom for the Ling to flourish in. After the clutter has dispersed, these
space clearing techniques actively free the energy further.
1. Burn incense
2. Play music
3. Ring bells
4. Clap your hands in the corners of rooms
5. Dance, Chant and Sing
6. Create Kolam (see web page Kolam)
7. Open windows
8. Burn candles
These techniques can also be used when moving into a new space in order to erase
the "Predecessor Karma" of the previous occupants. |
